Commercial Job Title: Systems Engineer
Minimum/General Experience:Systems
engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience in the UNIX support environment. Must be certified and able to support multiple vendorâs UNIX operating systems. Functional Responsibility:
Capable of providing good diagnostic and trouble shooting skills to provide Level One and Level Two customer support either onsite or via telephone. Must have excellent knowledge of the command line user interface. Experienced in utilities such as virus protection, security and backup/restore. Capability to understand and write basic shell script.
Minimum Education: Technical Degree Possible Job Titles: Principal Telecommunications Analyst, Principal Information Engineer, Software Engineer and Design Engineer.
Commercial Job Title: Systems Consultant
Minimum/General Experience:
Senior systems engineer with a minimum of 10 years experience in the UNIX environment. In addition to manufacturers certifications, the individual will have an understanding and experience with RAID technology, tape library systems, Storage Area Networks and other related technologies. Operation and performance analysis, system documentation and meeting management abilities are further requirements.
Functional Responsibility: Capable of analyzing system reports, error logs, system dumps and other performance tools for purpose of fault isolation and performance enhancements.
Will integrate various applications and utilities into a common environment and assure peak performance of all applications. Plan and conduct meetings where operations issues are reported and
discussed. Will make project plans and direct effort of other engineers to accomplish the plan. Minimum Education: Technical or Bachelorâs Degree and multiple manufacturers
certifications. Possible Job Titles: Senior Telecommunications Analyst, Chief Software Engineer, Chief Systems Engineer.
Commercial Job Title: Project Manager
Minimum/General Experience:
Network or Systems Engineer with a minimum of 10 years experience. Achieved both experience and formal training in project management. Ability to maintain professional contact with various departments and groups within the customer management. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Proven leadership of skills in implementation and support of large IT infrastructures.
Functional Responsibility:
Capable of working independently with little supervision. A self starter and one who maintains close relationships with all personnel on the project. Will maintain project documentation, write progress reports and conduct meetings with regards to the project, pointing out areas where the project is falling short of goals and point out solutions to that shortfall. Research and implement system improvements as agreed upon by the customer.
Minimum Education: Technical or Bachelorâs Degree. Possible Job Titles: Program Manager, Software Quality Assurance Manager, Senior Software Manager and Senior Technical Advisor.
