Plus Technologies Assists Stihl Inc. with SAP Print and Output
Management Standardization and Simplification
Dayton, Ohio
Plus Technologies, A Division of Digital Controls, today announced that they have implemented OM Plus and the OM Plus R/3 interface for SAP environments for another customer, Stihl Incorporated. Utilizing OM Plus, Stihl help desk personnel, as well as end users, can quickly and easily determine print job delivery status and control their enterprise print jobs without requiring a special client and without any R/3 version issues. The OM Plus implementation manages Stihls AIX and Windows server enterprise print to over 100 printers across North America.
The solution implemented for Stihl integrated SAP and non-SAP output into one standardized print output infrastructure, greatly simplifying their print support processes and reducing the associated help desk
costs. Additionally, Stihl was able to offload print management from their SAP and other application server(s) improving their performance. The consolidation and standardization of their print environment
infrastucture was an important step in Stihls rollout of their SAP environment.
