Plus Technologies solves Wells Fargo nationwide mortgage loan document
delivery problem
Dayton, Ohio--Plus Technologies, the software division of Digital Controls Corporation, announced today that
they have been selected by Wells Fargo's Home Mortgage division to install Advanced Document Delivery management software at Wells Fargo's central processing center.
Wells Fargo Home Mortgage will use Plus Technologies software to distribute all their centrally created mortgage documents to over 560 destinations/locations across the country.
Due to a huge increase in
demand for home mortgages and loan re-financing caused by falling interest rates, Wells Fargo was experiencing bottlenecks and delays in their existing Solaris and Windows NT application servers. These delays were
causing lost business for Wells Fargo because documents were not arriving in time for loan closing meetings. With the Plus Technologies software, the delays have been eliminated and Wells Fargo has been able
to keep up with demand without adding new computer systems.
At a typical loan closing, Wells Fargo creates as many as eighteen different documents from various internal computer systems located at their
central facilities. Once these documents were created, Wells Fargo utilized the native printing services found in their computers' underlying operating systems to deliver the documents to the appropriate
branch office.
The existing systems were not effective in document delivery and error recovery which caused lost print jobs, errors, and documents not getting delivered/printed at the remote offices in time for the scheduled closing dates.
To allow better management of the delivery of loan documents and to provide better overall customer service, Wells Fargo decided to standardize on Plus Technologies' Advanced Document Delivery and Printer
Management software called OM Plus. Utilizing OM Plus will eliminate errors, improve loan-processing speed and assure the timely delivery of the documents needed to complete the loan transaction.
"In
addition to improving customer service, Wells Fargo has told us that after installing OM Plus, system performance has improved by several orders of magnitude," said Michael Visser, VP and GM Plus Technologies.
Added Visser, "Wells Fargo has experienced a very strong payback from utilizing OM Plus due to a higher loan close rate and increased customer satisfaction." ABOUT WELLS FARGO Wells
