Plus Technologies announces more OM Plus functions

Plus Technologies, A Division of Digital Controls, has released a new point release of OM Plus, 1.3, with even more features useful for information management. OM Plus offers state-of-the-art "Delivery-ware," ensuring the output of vital information on time, all the time. OM Plus is a comprehensive, easy-to-use Delivery Management System for UNIX or NT servers. It has the power and flexibility needed to manage a dynamic spool file operation. With OM Plus, information can be delivered to an array of destinations that the user selects. Users can monitor spool file status, change priorities or destinations, manage printer functions, detect a device breakdown, select one page from a long report to print, or choose from many other functions.OM Plus provides the power and functionality to let the user control output operation in ways not possible with basic servers. In addition to the functions that OM Plus has been offering, the new and improved functions of OM Plus 1.3 include:
- Web delivery capability packaged as a standard feature. This point release can deliver files to web sites and send out e-mail alerts to target
recipients.
- Improved PCL format printer options
- Event scripts to automate advanced functions such as archiving
- Added an lpr command
- OM Plus addressing for fax and e-mail (rather than the user application having to provide the e-mail address)
- Added Microsoft Excel templates for showing OM Plus audit information in graphical form
