Digital Controls Technology Services Group Announces NEW Security Environment Assessment Service
Dayton, Ohio--The Technology Services Group (TSG) division of Digital Controls Corporation today announced the release of its Security Environment
Assessment (SEA) service, a new offering in its Security Practice.
The SEA is a packaged consulting service that evaluates the network and systems security status of organization's information assets. Based
upon a proven methodology, the SEA is a fixed-price engagement that defines the relative risks existing within the customer's environment. The service evaluates the individual organization's priorities,
conducts extensive probing to determine vulnerabilities and performs analysis of these vulnerabilities and finally provides recommendations of the appropriate countermeasures that are prioritized for future action.
From this baseline, an organization can significantly improve upon its security policies and practices. Network and systems environment security is an on going process, a continuous cycle of assessing,
monitoring, testing and securing. Having a current assessment of the status of your environment's security, like that provided by an SEA, is the first step in the security process.
The information
gathering process associated with the SEA is done both remotely (external phase) and on-site (internal phase).
Technology Services Group personnel utilize the latest tools along with interviews and policy reviews when carrying out the SEA. Further analysis of the information collected is conducted to define vulnerabilities and their countermeasures. This analysis is documented and a specific Action Plan is developed for the customer. The final report and Action Plan are then presented to the IT and management personnel within the customer's organization.
