Dow Corning Selects LP Plus as Solution to Improve Critical NT Printing Services

Dayton, Ohio

-- Today, Plus Technologies announced that Dow Corning has selected WinPrint Plus Server to improve performance of critical NT printing services worldwide. Dow Corning has deployed WinPrint Plus on NT servers throughout the world. The implementation of WinPrint Plus automates the delivery of information to create forms that are required at Dow Corning facilities for finished goods to be transported. WinPrint Plus receives data from Dow Corning's Sun UNIX servers running in their SAP implementation. After receiving the data, WinPrint Plus initiates a third party electronic forms software package to create the forms needed by the shipping organization. By installing WinPrint Plus, Dow Corning has been able to speed up the process of creating these documents, and increased system uptime. System uptime is very critical because a delay in transporting finished goods can slow down or stop the production at the facility.

They were a longtime user of LP Plus supporting over 2000 printers worldwide and they asked us to help them with this Output Management need and together we devised a solution based on WinPrint Plus."

WinPrint Plus integrates Windows 95/98 clients and NT servers to any UNIX system. Users can send jobs from the NT server or PC to the UNIX system for printing on any network printer. In addition, users can send UNIX print jobs to the NT server or PC for printing.
