Now you can write your data to CD-ROM and have the information available immediately to UNIX, NT, Windows, and NetWare.
Used with LP Plus Archive for CD-ROM storage and retrieval of reports
or your data, the TenXpert Network CD-ROM Server gives you the piece of
mind that comes with CD-ROM storage and unparalleled accessibility to all
the systems in your enterprise.
Imagine your CDs running at 20x speed!
Network CD-ROM servers deliver information to your desktop as fast
as your network allows! TenXpert's large hard disk cache (minimum 1 GByte)
holds all CD directory information and hundreds of recently used files.
Avoiding jukebox robotics delays, slow CD drive seek times and transfer
rates, TenXpert servers provide the data you want, often at hard disk speed.
Capacity from 1 to over 500 CDs on-line is available.
Plug and Play
As soon as you plug a TenXpert server into your Ethernet, PC and UNIX
workstations can begin using it. Users at workstations running DOS, Win31,
Windows95, WindowsNT, OS/2, and UNIX can all access their favorite CDs
simultaneously.
No Software to Add
TenXpert is a complete CD-ROM file server. You're not just getting
some CD drives and a software driver. You don't have to dedicate a PC,
or waste the valuable resources of your existing file server.
There is no software to add to your existing server. ...No network downtime.
...No tedious NLMs to load and configure (or to, maybe, crash your server).
And there is no software to add to your workstations. ...Since TenXpert
emulates a Novell server, and, at the same time, an NFS server, the workstation
software you already use to access your Novell or UNIX servers also accesses
TenXpert.
No User License Fees
TenXpert supports over 1100 concurrent PC users and an unlimited number
of UNIX users.
Hard Disk Cache
Since all CD directory information in TenXpert is cached on a hard
disk, browsing directories is instant. Economical CD-ROM minichangers and
jukeboxes don't even move until you actually open a data file, and then,
only if the file can't be found in the hard disk cache. Because we use
20% of our files 80% of the time, you'll soon forget you have a jukebox.
And for those who demand the ultimate in performance, TenXpert offers CD-ROM
drive towers with the highest speed CD readers available.
Flexible Expansion
Start with 1 CD on-line and you can simply add more CD devices and
upgrade to over 500 CDs on-line! No other CD-ROM network solution protects
your investment this well.
Increase Productivity
Regain time lost in searching for CDs or time spent switching CDs because
more than one person needed access to data. Information is among your organizations
most valuable assets ... TenXpert gives everyone the means to make the
most of it!
