LP Plus Print Management Software Secures SCO Magazine's "Top of the World" Award

Dayton, Ohio. March 10, 1997 . . . Digital Controls Corporation announced it has been named winner of SCO World Magazine's "Top of the World" Award for its LP Plus Print Management software. The award and accompanying article, "SCO Printer Spool Managers" are featured in the magazine's April, 1997 issue.

The article explains the the needs of UNIX system users for a supplemental product to manage printers and print jobs. The author then compares the product offerings of three companies, including Digital Controls's LP Plus, for features, documentation and price. LP Plus scored well in all feature comparison categories. In addition, the product received high marks for its security features, as well as receiving an "excellent" rating for its documentation.

LP Plus provides complete control over printers and print queues with such features as stopping and starting print requests at any page, viewing reports, keeping requests in the queue after they print, forms control, and many others. All of the functions can be completed at the UNIX command line or from the LP Plus status and control menu interface.

Digital Controls is a systems integrator and software developer. In addition to utility software, the company designs, manufactures and distributes a full range of systems, peripherals, and data communications equipment.
